Is the clock supplied to WDT a clock before or after rewriting FRQCR?

Latest Updated:03/25/2009

Question:

When multiplication ratio of internal PLL circuit is changed, it counts the PLL setting time by on-chip WDT. At this time, is the clock supplied to WDT a clock before rewriting frequency control register (FRQCR) or a clock after rewriting frequency control register (FRQCR)?

Answer:

The clock supplied to WDT when multiplication ratio of internal PLL circuit is changed is the clock after rewriting frequency control register (FRQCR).

The clock supplied to WDT doesn't stop though the inside of the processor stops temporarily when FRQCR is rewritten.

At this time, clock (PΦ) after the setting of FRQCR is changed is supplied to WDT.
