How is a DC-DC converter organized with a switching regulator?

Answer:

DC-DC converters may come in a chopper type and a charge pump type.

  • Chopper type

A DC-DC converter of this type controls the input voltage by switching and produces a stable voltage by using a smoothing circuit.
