How to eliminate semantic error reports in Synergy code

Latest Updated:10/04/2016

Overview

Explains how to eliminate semantic error reports that show up in Synergy code.

Goal

After completing this how-to you will be able to remove semantic error reports from your Synergy code.

Prerequisites

You will need to have your Synergy Project open in e2 studio.

Setup

e2 studio uses Eclipse and Eclipse builds the symbol index as you are writing your code. The Synergy Code generator adds many files all at once and thus they are not properly indexed immediately. You will thus see a number of 'semantic errors', which are not actual errors.

To eliminate these reports, execute the following steps:
1) Right click on your project in the project explorer
2) go to Index-> rebuild

This will eliminate these reports.

For Synergy code, the compiler output is the place to check for errors. If the project build returns with no errors, the project should be fine.

What's Next

You should now be able to develop your project with a reduced amount of 'noise'.
